Advisory & Strategy

Maintenance strategy is not a document — it's a decision framework. We help you build one that is anchored in asset criticality, aligned with recognised standards, and actually executable by your team.

What we deliver

A maintenance strategy engagement with Bluestream starts with your reality — not a generic template. We examine your asset base, operating context, regulatory environment, and organisational capability before recommending any approach.

We then develop a strategy that specifies how maintenance decisions are made, which methods apply to which asset classes, how risk is quantified and managed, and how the programme evolves over time. The output is traceable, auditable, and built to survive handover.

Core deliverables

Asset Management Strategy
ISO 55000-aligned strategic framework covering objectives, risk appetite, and governance across the asset lifecycle.
FMECA Analysis
Failure Mode, Effects & Criticality Analysis per equipment class. Identifies critical failure modes and drives PM task selection.
RCM Programme
Reliability-Centred Maintenance analysis to select optimal strategies — calendar, condition-based, or run-to-failure — per failure mode.
RAM / RAMS Analysis
Reliability, Availability, Maintainability studies to quantify expected performance and identify system-level risks.
Criticality Classification
Structured consequence classification of equipment per HSE, production, and cost impact — per NORSOK Z-008 or equivalent standard.
Maintenance Roadmap
Phased improvement plan with prioritised actions, resource requirements, and measurable milestones aligned to your business objectives.

How an engagement works

01
Asset base review
We map your equipment, operating context, existing maintenance history, and current strategy maturity against benchmark expectations.
02
Consequence classification
Every asset is classified by HSE, production, and cost consequence. This drives everything else — FMECA scope, PM intensity, spare part strategy.
03
FMECA & RCM analysis
Critical assets receive full failure mode analysis. We identify what can go wrong, how likely it is, and what maintenance activity best controls the risk.
04
Strategy documentation
We produce the strategy document, maintenance concept register, and supporting rationale — structured for audit and knowledge transfer.
05
Handover & training
Your team receives training, a Q&A session, and an ongoing advisory retainer option if needed as the programme beds in.
