Asset Management & Dynamics 365 Expert CMRP
Andreas Skaanes Hulsund is a Norwegian engineer, business owner and Dynamics 365 Asset Management specialist. He is the founder of Bluestream, co-founder of Melhus Tech Hub, and works through Bluestream AS as a Technical Architect and Asset Management Specialist for Sprint 365.
Andreas Skaanes Hulsund is a Norwegian engineer whose career has been spent in operations and maintenance for some of the most demanding industrial environments in the world. He is best known for hands-on project management and operations manager roles in Europe and North America, and today combines that operational experience, increasingly applied through Microsoft Dynamics 365 Asset Management, with the standards that govern the discipline: ISO 14224 for reliability and maintenance data, ISO 55000 for asset management, and NORSOK Z-008 for criticality and maintenance programmes.
His career began in the Navy as an Ensign (OF-1), in charge of all seamen and all above-deck maintenance, and designated Anti-Air Warfare (AAW) responsible. The discipline of inspection rounds, checklists and root-cause rigour from that time shaped how he approaches maintenance to this day. He went on to spend more than fourteen years in the oil and gas industry on offshore and onshore assets operated by Equinor, Marathon, Shell and Vår Energi, working across maintenance strategy, automation and SCADA, commissioning, construction support and CMMS/ERP implementation.
From oil and gas, Andreas Hulsund moved into aquaculture, bringing the same asset-management discipline to Atlantic salmon production and land-based recirculating systems at Cermaq and Atlantic Sapphire, before founding his own practice.
In November 2024 he established Bluestream AS in Melhus, Norway, followed by Bluestream LLC in Florida in May 2025. Bluestream is a maintenance engineering practice that helps operators in oil & gas, aquaculture, maritime and heavy industry turn O&M data into reliable, low-cost maintenance programmes. Under his leadership the company has built the Maintenance Development Toolbox, a five-step web platform anchored in NORSOK Z-008 and ISO 14224, and the Bluestream PdM Platform for predictive maintenance on operating equipment.
In 2026 he co-founded Melhus Tech Hub with Daniel Knobloch Bjerkmo, an office community for small technology and engineering companies in the centre of Melhus, twenty minutes south of Trondheim. Alongside his own companies he works as a Technical Architect and Asset Management Specialist at Sprint 365, a Microsoft Dynamics 365 partner, where he designs and implements Dynamics 365 Asset Management for industrial clients.
He holds the Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) credential and is certified in ISO 55000 asset management. He writes regularly on LinkedIn about Dynamics 365 Asset Management, maintenance KPIs, fault and downtime registration, and sensor data intelligence, and publishes under the names Andreas Skaanes Hulsund and Andreas Hulsund.
