A signed Letter of Intent with U.S. operational-intelligence company Optec, LLC brings validation on real, operating equipment, and a path into the North-American market, for Bluestream's predictive-maintenance platform. Bluestream retains all intellectual property.
On August 28th, 2026, Bluestream LLC and Optec, LLC signed a non-binding Letter of Intent to collaborate on the field validation and North-American market introduction of Bluestream's predictive-maintenance (PdM) platform, the software that predicts the remaining useful life of industrial equipment from the sensors a plant already has, grounded in ISO 14224 reliability standards.
Under the Letter of Intent, the two companies intend to work together, on a best-efforts basis, to prove and introduce the platform:
The LOI is non-binding and transfers no intellectual property: Bluestream retains all right, title and interest in its platform, software, methods and models, including any improvements arising from the collaboration.
A prediction engine earns trust only when it has been shown to work on real equipment, not just in simulation. Access to operating assets, and to the maintenance history and domain judgement that surround them, is the step that turns a promising model into one a reliability engineer will act on.
“Validating on real, operating equipment is what turns a good prediction engine into a trusted one, and doing it with an experienced U.S. operator gets us there faster.” Andreas Hulsund ยท General Manager & CEO, Bluestream
The collaboration also opens a deliberate path into North America, the platform's largest addressable market, pairing Bluestream's standards-grounded, hardware- and CMMS-agnostic technology with a partner who knows the operating environment on the ground.
Optec, LLC delivers AI-driven operational intelligence for buildings, unifying data from HVAC, electrical, water, pumps, cooling towers, metering and sensors to catch anomalies early, surface root-cause answers, and guide technician-ready actions through its AI, LiKA. That hands-on grip on live operational data and rotating equipment makes Optec a natural environment to validate Bluestream's remaining-useful-life predictions, and the two approaches are complementary: Optec's operational intelligence for facilities alongside Bluestream's standards-grounded RUL for industrial equipment.
Optec will serve as advisors and technology partners in the market research, development and proof of concept phase, contributing operations and maintenance expertise, access to real equipment and data, and a route into the North-American market. The Bluestream PdM platform uses the sensors a plant already has to predict the remaining useful life of industrial equipment, explain why a failure is developing, the ISO 14224 failure mode and the position on the PโF curve, and generate the right work order into the customer's own maintenance system. It runs the full loop today: any signal in, the right work order out. Read more in the platform roadmap.
With the LOI in place, the near-term focus is getting live sensor data flowing from real equipment, standing up a first pilot, and letting data accumulate ahead of a wider North-American push. The Letter of Intent is a foundation to work toward a subsequent formal agreement, such as a paid pilot.
Any signal in, the right work order out, standards-grounded, explainable, and independent of your sensors and your CMMS.
